Subject: Nothing to do.....

Howdy. How's it hanging. (I love that line:)) So, what have you been up to.

Me: nothing much. Yesterday I went to pizza hut with my friend and we had lunch.. that was ok.... we had a good gossip and a bitch session like girls tend to do. She was pissed off because her father won't connect to the net and I keep telling her about this or that I saw or did and talking about the sims etc so she's a little jealous and peeved 'cause she can't try it out for herself. She will have to come over here and use mine one day to have a look.

This morning I went to ten-forward and I got kicked out for misbehaving (ha ha) but I was leaving anyway so it didn't really matter. It was your popups that got me into trouble.. some people just have no sense of humour.

The other day I had both Cad and Kala in there and Lt Erdem was trying to come on to them both.. I suggested he got to a holodeck ;) I don't think he realised that they're the same person in real life. I have been showing off the diamond necklace that Calvin gave to Cad.. if you ever have an impulse to give me a real one, please, don't hesitate in the slightest ;)

I still have to laugh everytime I think of that great joke that you made about goin' with the flow.. that might just be the funniest joke I ever heard.

I'm watching Tv right now but it's the ads which I don't really want to watch. I'm watching Oprah with Paul McCartney.. my mother has just informed me that I got my name from the song Hey Jude.. she liked the name Jude but she didn't want to call me that so she changed it to Jade. I find that very funny as there is also another song by the beatles about a guy named Desmond. Well I just have to say that my whole life has been changed knowing that my name was inspired by a beatles song. It's every girl's dream. Not.

I bought this poster magazine today called Star Trek vs the X Files and there was this interesting thing in it.. I will quote: "a recent genuine study into Trek addiction revealed that the 'habit' actually improved the people it affected, making them more thoughtful, tolerant and relaxed!"

Do you reckon you're addicted.. I don't think I have that much obsession over the show that I'm addicted.. but the other day my mother called me a star trek nerd. I was astounded. I'm not that bad really. Some people I know can quote, like entire episodes, stardates for every event under the sun, etc. So compared to them I am like the tip of the iceberg. Do many of your friends watch it? Only one of my closest friends watches it and the others think it is silly.. but they have never watched it so they have no idea of what they are going on about.

Have ya got any pets man? I do.
dog: jeffrey dog: murray cat: curt cat: b'elanna fish: miles fish: keiko bird: sunshine And I have a virtual pet which has had about fifty names (they keep dying for some reason :) ) which I have named all after characters on Star Trek. The last one which I think has probably kicked the bucket by now was called Prinadora. I keep misplacing it and by the time I find it again the thing has died. I'm not a very neat person you see, in fact i would say I am a very messy person. Magazines, clothes, shoes, books, papers and stuff all over the floor of my room. I am the only child, sometimes I wonder what it would have been like to have a brother or sister.. but I never knew what it was like so it doesn't bother me much but I suppose I would have had one if it was my choice. Have you got any bros or sis's?

You know you're very lucky because it's actually YOUR turn to write to ME but instead you have gotten this really long letter. I hope you are grateful.

So how do you see you life turning out? I reckon that I'll finish school, most likely go to university, find a guy, tie the knot, have a few kids (two or three max). I think that's basically all. I think I'm fairly easy to please. Oh, I have little things which I am totally fussy about, but so does everybody. FOr example.. in my money draw in my register when I am working, I HAVE to have the little clear plastic window on all of the notes in the top right hand corner. I get really peeved if someone else sticks them in the wrong way. One day, I am going to own a really fancy car.. like a BMW or a Jag or Mercedes or something. I want a convertible. I suppose I better learn how to drive properly first. I've had a few lessons.. I got my learners nearly right on 1 year ago (you have to be 16). I will have to have some more driving lessons pretty soon so I can get my P's when I am 18. I can't see myself getting old. I'll probably kick the bucket when I'm 50 to 60. I don't want to get old and frail and lose my memory and go senile. I'd rather die when I was just starting to wind down.. so my children and grandchildern remember me as a cool chick. Not like a useless
old lady. Well, that's how I feel now.. I'll probably feel totally different in 2040 when I turn 60. What do you reckon happens when you die? I haven't decided definitely yet but what I kind of think now is that you go on to kind of this place.. not heaven or hell, just a place hwere there is everybody else and it is happy there. I can't describe it properly. And then you just wait until you have to be born again. I believe in reincarnation. I always thought that it would be kind of cool if you could come back again and again, but last year I read this book, it was called Audrey Rose and it was about this family who had a daughter called Ivy and she started to have nightmares and then this other guy comes into the story and he could explain her nightmares and it turned out that his daughter, Audrey Rose died at almost the exact time Ivy was born, and they were in fact the same person, but it also had all of this stuff about what different cultures and religions believe about reincarnation and I forget what the main one that they focused on was but it made lots of sense to me.

Oh, man, I hope I'm not freaking you out with all of this stuff. I'll stop because I could go on for hours about that kind of thing.. life and death and wierd things and the supernatural.. I just find the whole topic totally fascinating. You're probably sick of my 'voice' by now too.

So, see ya wouldn't want to b3 ya (just a little saying of mine)

Des.
